That's the intention.

An informal and independent entity, lighthouseffect uses its web space to throw light on the efforts undertaken by orphanages in their quests to improve the living conditions of children. lighthouseffect will make an effort to visit each of the orphanages featured on this site, to volunteer as well as to assist with the fundraising and marketing efforts of the orphanages.

On occasion, other similar nonprofits, nongovernmental organizations and social entrepreneurs will also be featured on lighthouseffect. You will find contact information for each featured orphanage/organization, should you wish to help them in any way.

However, please know that lighthouseffect does not endorse that you donate your time or money to any orphanage/organization without personally and comprehensively researching the organization in question.

lighthouseffect, we hope, will connect you with organizations that you may not be aware of (but whose work you can relate to), as well as give these organizations a stable presence on the World Wide Web. And, as long as lighthouseffect remains in existence, each featured organization will have its own space on the Internet.
